It’s true that nothing beats the classic denim look but in summers nothing makes you feel more claustrophobic then denim. Are you also in search of a garment which not only looks good when worn but also provides comfort and satisfaction!!

My personal favourite of all garments is the palazzo and dhoti pants as they not only compliment your look but also provide comfort and easy movement.

The transition in lowers have come a long way, originating from the dhoti lower which was worn by the males originally but now after the modernisation of fashion industry it has become more of women wear.

Dhoti is usually a loose type of lower which is made of a very fine fabric preferably cotton. The fabric used is at least 4 metre long. I personally find it very much tiring to wear a jeans or jegging during the summers but when it comes to a dhoti oh lord!

All my problems come to an end as it is easily available and now a days in every possible color and fabric. You can style a dhoti according to the occasion like-

  • PUJA- at an event like a puja you can style a plain dhoti with a kurta and it’ll give you a wonderful look.
  • MARRIAGE- marriage is the only occasion that has everyone on their toes with excitement. You can wear a silk or satin dhoti along with an embroidered kurta to compliment it as whole or you can wear a plain colored dhoti along with a heavy work kurta.
  • OUTING- you can style a multi-layered dhoti with a waist top and rock the look completely.

And many more wonderful ways, even you can share your style up dhoti videos with us.

Then we come to the palazzo, palazzos are so much I trend that I don’t even know where to start from and where to end. Palazzos are so comfortable and graceful, you can literally wear them with anything and anywhere.

The palazzos were first introduced in the 60s and 70s and back then they were a bit more resembling to the bell bottoms. The palazzos have also come a long way with modification like earlier when they were introduced they were more loose and flared from the bottom , then the palazzo turned into a resembling formal pant shape, then the palazzo fused with the skirt and gave rise to skirt palazzo which stayed a very long time in the trend.

The palazzo pant can be worn with a short kurta for an outing or with along heavy frill kurta for a family function. It can also be styled with a blouse and dupatta and many more wonderful ways, even you can share your style up dhoti videos with us.
